Sun Pharma Science Foundation's 12th Hands-on Training Workshop

Sun Pharma Science Foundation's 12th Hands-on Training Workshop on " HPB Pathology Whole Slide Imaging: Analysis and AI-based Utility for Diagnosis and Research” in association with Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) New Delhi.

Date : August 7th to 9th, 2026 (Three days).

Venue: Department of Pathology, Multipurpose Hall, ILBS, New Delhi.

Organized by: Sun Pharma Science Foundation in collaboration with Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) New Delhi.

This Hands-on Workshop is being organized at Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) New Delhi. This will be an intensive three-day hands-on workshop focused on cutting-edge Hepatobiliary and pancreatic (HPB) pathology with high skill and training due to the architectural complexity of neoplastic and inflammatory lesions. As the field of pathology shifts toward digital workflows, Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have become indispensable for enhancing diagnostic accuracy and research depth. These tools allow for automated biomarker quantification and objective feature extraction. This workshop addresses this critical training gap for MD Pathology candidates.

Participants will implement AI-assisted workflows to standardize diagnostic reporting and improve reproducibility in complex HPB cases. These skills will empower them to lead digital pathology initiatives and conduct sophisticated, large-scale morphometric research, positioning them at the forefront of modern clinical and academic pathology in the digital era.
