Sun Pharma Science Foundation’s International Symposia - Cell Therapy Comes of Age in India in collaboration with Tata Memorial Center Mumbai

In the last two decades, promising cell therapies for various difficult to treat diseases including cancer, degenerative diseases and immune-disorders are emerging. Harnessing the immune system for therapeutic benefit was a dream of immunologists and oncologists alike. This vision was realized with the success of checkpoint inhibitors. Soon CAR-T cells cured the most refractory leukemias and every element of the immune system joined the orchestra. Similarly Cell and Gene Therapies for non-malignant diseases such as Haemophilia, Critical Limb Ischemia and Slipped disc have shown promise. Although these therapies were beyond the means of many a patient in India, the entrepreneurial spirit of Indian Oncologists and Cell Biologists is slowly bringing this to fruition across the country.

In this meeting we are bringing these innovators, pioneers and thought leaders together to share their experiences as cell therapy comes of age in India. Come join us to hear the legends as they put their act together for this symphony.
