Antimicrobial resistance has outpaced the development of effective therapies, creating one of the most urgent biomedical challenges of our time. This symposium brings together leading researchers working across bacteria, mycobacteria, and parasites, to examine how resistance continues to evolve and why traditional antibiotic pipelines have stalled. The symposium highlights cross-disciplinary insights into resistance biology and presents promising non-traditional and host-modulating strategies that may redefine future antimicrobial development.
Through expert lectures, discussions, and knowledge sharing, the symposium will foster new ideas, encourage collaboration, and inspire innovation in the field of antimicrobial resistance research. It also aims to emphasize the public health significance of antimicrobial resistance and the need for effective treatment strategies to improve patient outcomes.
